On the eve of a historic vote to give robots rights equal to humans, a tech mogul is murdered by a delivery bot. His wife, Nadia, hires AI P.I. to hunt the suspect.

With the help of a scorned door cam, Izzy and AL track down the bot and learn it's one of AL’s old drinking buddies. After a chase scene in which Izzy is almost killed, our duo realizes that the delivery bot must’ve been hacked. AL sees flashes of the bot’s memory and discovers the hacker is Nadia.

When AL confronts Nadia, she hijacks his systems, taking control to kill him. Luckily, Izzy saves Al and stops Nadia, but the public fallout tanks the robot-rights vote. To bridge the growing divide, Izzy commits to a new mission: an agency that serves both man and machine.

Pilot Synopsis

As the only agency working for robots in a hostile world, Izzy and AL take on eclectic cases—from a kidnapped Roomba owner to a murdered robotic pinch hitter. To protect their mechanical clients from "kill-on-sight" police, Izzy is forced into the underworld, eventually disposing of bodies and tangling with the cybermafia.

While AL grapples with Izzy’s growing cynicism, Izzy becomes obsessed with a shadowy cabal she believes murdered her father. This obsession leads to a desperate finale: Izzy agrees to break Nadia out of prison in exchange for the truth. The prison break ends in blood, and as Nadia dies, she whispers the name behind it all: Algorithm.
